Player Prop: Zach Edey (NCAAB)
My 1st official Player Prop write-up since the site went live! Lets’s get after it…
Zach Edey is on a mission—a Wooden award mission. He has gone for 30+ in 4 of his last 8 games while averaging 27.3 PPG in that span, and is now the favorite to take home the most coveted player award in NCAA Men’s Basketball.
The 7’4” monster draws Iowa tonight, a team that gives up 73.5 PPG (279th) and has no regulars over 6’9” tall (and only 2 guys total at 6’10” or taller). Edey should have his way tonight, even if they try and slow him down with physicality from a couple of non-impact bigs. He went for 12 points and 14 boards on only 17 minutes last time they played, and it is most of the same guys this time around for Iowa—especially in terms of matchups for him (and with that said, I think Filip Rebrača’s under props are worth a look as well).
This line is already at 24.5 or 25.5 at the majority of books, giving us a solid value on BetUS. I do not often find edges on the offshore books I am limited to, but this one is popping nicely. If your book offers a Points+Rebounds line, I would most likely fire that up before points (if you can’t get 23.5). All I am seeing for now is Points, Rebounds or PRA for now though, and I don’t love baking in Assists when his floor has often been zero.
Let’s go, Zach!
